Wide Range of Materials and Thicknesses
At SGS Mechanical, we provide laser cutting services for materials ranging from thin sheets to heavy plate metals. Our team is skilled at cutting sheets from 0.5mm to 25mm thick, depending on material type, ensuring flexibility for your project requirements. Common materials we work with include:
• Mild Steel: mild steel needs galvanising or powder coating for protection; it can also be too heavy for some jobs.
• Stainless Steel: has great corrosive resistance, but is much heavier and more expensive (dependent on grade also)
• Aluminium: Unique because its lightweight & non corrosive, very useful as an in-between option
